Hero Future Energies Global Limited, its subsidiaries, joint ventures, and affiliates (herein referred to as “HFE” or “Company” or “We” or “Our”) believe in conducting business honestly and ethically. The Whistleblowing Policy encourages and protects employees, former employees, and parties with whom HFE has a business relationship (such as contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, customers, business partners, etc.) to speak up when they encounter behaviour by or within HFE that is/seems unethical or illegal.

The Whistleblower Policy applies to concerns about, suspected or actual criminal conduct, unethical conduct or other misconduct including but not limited to:

  • misuse or abuse of authority
  • misappropriation, fraud or suspected fraud
  • criminal activity
  • miscarriages of justice
  • danger to health and safety
  • damage to the environment
  • information and data breaches
  • theft and misuse of assets
  • conflict of interest
  • failure to comply with any legal or regulatory requirements
  • bribery
  • the deliberate concealment of any of the above matters, and
  • any other action or unprofessional conduct not expressly listed above but that could adversely affect the interest of any employee or external stakeholders of the Company or otherwise cause damage to the Company’s interests and reputation.
Below whistleblowing channels can be used to raise these concerns, without fear of retaliation. It alerts management to allegations of fraud or other suspected misconduct, and helps to ensure that appropriate and adequate action is taken to address the situation.

All concerns raised through the Whistle blower e-mail is received directly by an independent third-party firm. To maintain confidentiality, the firm periodically share details of concern(s) raised to the Ethics Committee without disclosing the name of the whistleblower.

After the Whistleblowing concern has been received by HFE, the concern will be investigated on merit basis. We take the utmost care to protect identity of the whistleblower and confidentiality of such a report, within the limits defined by applicable laws and regulations.

Whistleblowing Reporting Guidelines
  1. Please do not use Whistleblowing channel to raise grievances or concerns about job performance, appraisals, terms of employment, unfair management, inefficient systems, routine or administrative matters, pending payments, or other operational feedback.
  2. Whistleblow reported should be genuine and raised in good faith. Good faith is assumed where reports are made with a reasonable basis for belief in the truth of the matter and are not made with a malicious intent or for personal benefit.
  3. Please do not attempt to carry out any investigation by yourselves or take any action before reporting the concern. Please do not contact the suspected individual to determine facts or demand restitution. Your role is limited to reporting the irregularities.
  4. Please do not disclose any information with respect to the concern raised under this Policy or the results of the investigation to any other person as this may prejudice the outcome of the investigation.
