Education & Skill Development
HFE runs Asha Education Centres in collaboration with Raman Kant Munjal Foundation Trust to provide remedial education to children who lack access to formal education and aid them in exploring better career choices. These centres empower local women to be trained and employed as teachers. We have established 45 Asha Centres in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh to date, supporting 1100 students from low-income families.
HFE along with RKMF conducts skill development programs for youth at remote locations around our project sites at Dhar, Pratapgarh & Barmer. These include Basic Computer course for youth and Stitching & Tailoring course for women. These programs have been designed to enhance their employability and provide students opportunities for self-employment. These courses help them to become self-reliant and support their families. More than 600 youth have benefited so far from these programs.
With our Solarization initiatives HFE has solarized 3 NGO’s and the Hostel Building of Wanla Government High School in Ladakh. Our solar streetlights have lit up more than 15 villages at Dhar, Madhya Pradesh. These initiatives have overall benefitted more than 12000 people.
The Digilab project, conducted in partnership with the 17,000 ft Foundation, provides digital learning tools and modern content to children in remote villages of Ladakh for a state of the art learning experience.
