Occupational Health
& Safety Management

HFE prioritises the safety and well-being of our employees, contractors, clients, and all relevant stakeholders. We ensure that all our projects are developed and implemented in accordance with the International Finance Corporation’s (IFC) performance standards for environment health & safety, Equator principles (EP) and follow Global Best Practices. HFE implements a rigorous HSE policy and management system that enforces strict safety protocols and standard operating procedures. It is mandatory for both our employees as well as contractual associates to imbibe the safety protocols in their daily work routine. Our safety policies are timely reviewed to ensure their effectiveness. We have established a dedicated safety committee that complies with all required regulations, including the Factories Act for India.

Our Company also has an effective incident management system that helps our employees report any health and safety incidents occurring at the workplace. This automated system keeps a record of the employees’ safety and mishaps which is further discussed at management level. This helps the safety committee investigate the incident, identify the cause (RCA) and chalk out an actionable plan (CAPA) to prevent recurrence. It also helps in developing a set of mitigation measures to effectively minimise risks without compromising on the safety of employees.

HEALTH AND
SAFETY COMPLIANCE

HFE believes that compliances are crucial across the workplace. There are several health and safety strategies that help to implement policies across the board, but we prioritize employee awareness of all the compliances through various training programs. HFE strives to comply with all health and safety standards established by regulatory legislators and bodies. HFE aims to meet objectives and laws defined by regulatory bodies including securing the required licenses or permits and establishing a robust environmental and safety management system.

HEALTH AND
SAFETY training

We have a comprehensive annual training and mock drill calendar which is followed across all sites to educate people and help them improve their knowledge and skills, reduce risk, make the workplace healthier and safer for everyone as well as improve long term business performance. Besides regular trainings and mock drills, behavioural based training is conducted yearly. The training calendar is developed after conducting training need analysis with on-site personnel (including contractors and subcontractors).
